Description

The Big Belly Shad is one of those baits every one seems to have at least one of. Why? Because they catch fish. It doesn't get much simpler than that. It is a slow sinking 7" glide bait with a real nice S action. This is one bait that seems to catch them all. I have caught some good sized bass on it, but for some reason a 12' bass isn't afraid to take a chance on it either. One thing I should mention since I do not have many other options available in the pictures, I can paint you one in any pattern you would like. Just order this Philly Skyline, the reach out to me and we can figure out what you would like for a pattern. Don't miss out on his little brother the Wee Shad. In stock right here on this site. Pretty much exactly the same bait in a smaller bite size, only 5". Get one of each is my recommendation, or maybe even two of each but who am I to fill your tackle box. NOTE: Each bait is hand painted in the order they are received. I make every effort to ship the baits within 3 days of receiving the order, however during the busy season it can take up to 5 to 8 business days to ship the baits. In most cases they do ship within 3 days, I never want to make anyone wait but I do need to maintain quality so it can take time sometimes.

Field Notes

Best for covering water with a steady retrieve and pauses to let the bait glide and turn. Use around open-water bass, especially when fish are willing to chase a larger profile bait. The slow-sinking design and S-action make it a good choice for targeting bigger fish with a more natural swimming presentation.

Pros

  • Large 7-inch profile draws reaction bites
  • Slow-sinking glide action with a natural S-turn
  • Hand-painted custom patterns available

Cons

  • May be too large for pressured fish or small forage situations
  • Requires some room to work the glide action effectively
