Description

The Big Belly Shad is one of those baits every one seems to have at least one of. Why? Because they catch fish. It doesn't get much simpler than that. It is a slow sinking 7" glide bait with a real nice S action. This is one bait that seems to catch them all. I have caught some good sized bass on it, but for some reason a 12' bass isn't afraid to take a chance on it either. One thing I should mention since I do not have many other options available in the pictures, I can paint you one in any pattern you would like. Just order this Philly Skyline, the reach out to me and we can figure out what you would like for a pattern. Don't miss out on his little brother the Wee Shad. In stock right here on this site. Pretty much exactly the same bait in a smaller bite size, only 5". Get one of each is my recommendation, or maybe even two of each but who am I to fill your tackle box. NOTE: Each bait is hand painted in the order they are received. I make every effort to ship the baits within 3 days of receiving the order, however during the busy season it can take up to 5 to 8 business days to ship the baits. In most cases they do ship within 3 days, I never want to make anyone wait but I do need to maintain quality so it can take time sometimes.

Field Notes

Use it as a glide bait for covering water and triggering reaction bites from bass and other predators. The slow-sinking profile and S-shaped glide make it effective with steady retrieves and pauses around open water or structure. It can also draw larger fish that are willing to chase a bigger bait.

Pros

  • 7-inch profile for big-fish appeal
  • Slow sinking with a pronounced S action
  • Hand-painted custom patterns available

Cons

  • Price is relatively high
  • Large size may be too much for smaller fish or pressured waters
