Description

A classic foam beetle pattern with a foam body and buggy dubbing mix underneath paired up with some rubber legs and a hi-his orange foam piece up top to make tracking this fly across the water at a distance a bit easier. It floats like a barge and can stand up to quite a few takes!

Field Notes

This is a buoyant beetle imitation meant to be fished on the surface. It works well as a terrestrial pattern on calm to lightly riffled water, especially when trout are looking up for beetles and other insects falling from bankside vegetation. The bright orange post helps with visibility for longer drifts and quick strike detection.
