Description

AH version of the Danny plug. New design with single belly hook (better for the fish imo). Comes in at 7" and weighs in at around 2.75 - 3oz. They say Dannys don't cast very - try this one :).

Field Notes

This Danny plug is meant for inshore casting when you want a surface-oriented plug with better casting distance than many traditional Dannys. Work it with steady retrieves and pauses around points, rips, and shoreline structure where stripers, snook, or redfish may be feeding. The single belly hook makes it a cleaner option for fish handling while still keeping the plug effective.

Pros

  • 7-inch profile covers larger baitfish
  • Single belly hook is fish-friendly
  • Improved casting compared with many Danny plugs
  • Good for inshore structure fishing

Cons

  • Large plug may be too much for small bait
  • Best used with heavier tackle
  • Limited to plug-style retrieve
