Field Notes

Use this casting rod to fish swim jigs effectively, especially when you want to keep contact and feel the lure’s vibration. It also works for topwater presentations, light flipping, and vibrating jigs—ideal when you’re covering nearshore structure or transitioning between lure types.

Bobby Lane Pro Ssries Rod More rod for less money. Using for swim jigs and chatter baits. Great fish bite detection, great feel, and perfect for a gear ratio above 7.

Delivered with Epoxy Filled Eyelet. One of the eyelets is completely filled with epoxy. Should tell you something about the level of quality control that is put into this "pro" level series of rods.

Great versatile rod I fish a lot of Chesapeake bay tributaries for bass, stripers, and snakeheads and I like this rod because it has a nice soft tip for casting that lets the fish really get a bait, but it has a stout enough backbone (with braid to copolymer leader) for a lot of the moving baits I throw like chatterbaits and swim jigs. This is a great chatterbait rod for skipping around cypress tumps and sparse spatterdock if you’re like myself and do not want a super duper moderate action rod. I think you could flip with it too if you wanted, something like a 3/16 oz weight with a senko would work well. I got this when they were on sale for $99 and that would be a pretty hard to beat in my opinion.
