Abu Garcia Beast 300 Low Profile Reels

The new Beast series is a huge improvement over the previous generations and versions from Abu, featuring a best in class drag output that actually delivers the advertised performance compared to other low profiles. This 300 size puts out 30lbs of drag with the low gear ratio model and 25lbs on the high speed, giving it enough stopping power to use for a wide variety of applications like casting Alabama rigs, glide baits, larger swimbaits and even messing around with offshore casting jigs. The gear box is big because all of these reels come with a big brass main gear giving you more torque even when fishing a high gear ratio, without compromising on smoothness or durability. The frame is asymmetrical and ergonomic, making these easy to palm and get comfortable with and the larger handle knobs are nice when using bigger baits. It's nice to see an original design significantly improve on the previous versions.
