We designed the Thumper Pro with gaped ridges that allow you to cut or "chop" the bait down to match the bait fish size you are trying to mimic. Running a chopped Thumper Pro with a 1/4 oz Burnt Tungsten bullet weight and 4/0 or 5/0 EWG hook is the most common way to fish it.
