Description

The Freeloader comes in 3 sizes to suit your fishing style. Mimicking the shape and size of common shad profile batfish – making this soft plastic an effective imitation. With a ribbed pin tail and flat sides producing a subtle quivering action, and a precise blend of colour, scent, salt and flake to enhance the bait’s appeal. This bait is highly effective when paired on a VMC Grip-R Jighead and used with a forward-facing sonar, allowing anglers to “hover stroll” and target fish – a popular choice for targeting Bass and Barra. The very responsive tail reacts to even the smallest of movements. Either fish it stand alone, or use it as a trailer on spinnerbaits.

Field Notes

Use the Freeloader as a soft-plastic shad/batfish-style swimbait on a jighead for a hover-stroll presentation with forward-facing sonar. It can also be fished as a trailer on spinnerbaits, where the ribbed pin tail quivers with small rod or blade movement.

Pros

  • Subtle quivering action from ribbed pin tail and flat sides
  • Responsive tail reacts to very small movements
  • Scent/salt/flakes designed to enhance attraction
  • Works as a standalone bait or spinnerbait trailer

Cons

  • Best results depend on pairing with the right jighead and sonar/hover-stroll technique
  • Color/size selection matters (3 sizes offered)
