Field Notes

This umbrella-style shad rig is meant to imitate a small school of baitfish and is typically fished around feeding fish that are keyed in on shad. Cast it and retrieve steadily or use it where bait is being chased near the surface or just below it. The rig is especially useful when predators are schooling and you want multiple hook points in one presentation.
