Description

The 3D TPE Mayfly Nymph is based on a 3D scan of a real mayfly nymph and features incredible details even for its small size. The TPE material is very durable, has good elasticity, and can be used on a fly rod. The lure mimics a mayfly nymph to perfection and has the most incredible action with fluttering legs on the drop and tail kick on the twitch. The realistic colours and details will fool the wariest of trout or bass. The lure performs brilliantly in both currents and still water – great for many species besides trout, including perch, chub and bass. The TPE material (Temperature Elastomer) is a unique soft yet durable material that feels very natural. The fish bite and hold on as if it were real prey. The material is also very durable and will last for many, many bites. Care instructions: don’t store TPE with PVC soft lures, TPE material has memory, we recommend to keep it in the supplied clam pack.

Field Notes

Use this mayfly nymph imitation when bass or trout are feeding on aquatic insects, especially in rivers, creeks, or calm water with insect activity. It is well suited to finesse presentations and natural drifts, and the fluttering legs and tail kick make it effective on the drop or with subtle twitches.

Pros

  • Highly realistic mayfly nymph profile and details
  • Durable TPE material with strong elasticity
  • Works in both current and still water
  • Natural fluttering and tail-kick action

Cons

  • TPE material requires separate storage from PVC soft lures
  • Small insect imitation may be technique- and forage-specific
