This is a topwater plopper-style lure meant to be cast and retrieved on the surface. It works well around calm to lightly rippled water when bass are feeding shallow, especially near cover or open-water bait activity.

  • Surface commotion can draw reaction strikes

  • Good for covering water quickly

Cons

  • Less effective in heavy wind or rough water
  • Topwater bites can be missed if fish are tentative
