Description

The goal here was to design a bait that looks and acts like a jig but has the "snag resistant" quality of a Texas rigged soft plastic. Pitch it Texas rigged or throw it on a bare football head jig and drag and hop it along the bottom.

Field Notes

Pitch it like a Texas rigged soft plastic or cast it and work it on a bare football head jig. Drag it along the bottom and use short hops to trigger bites around cover.

The TRJ is awesome! Check out the video, those claws are always up off the bottom and scream EAT ME! This is one versatile bait as well. Flip/pitch, Football jig, Carolina rig, shaky, and even weightless over mats. This has the right profile to entice the big ones, it is the total package. Pick up several colors to match any water.

I love this bait rigged with a 7/16 ounce jig head. Perfect for flipping shallow cover as well as boat docks. Durability is unbelievable with these baits multiple fish with a single bait.

This has quickly become my most confident bait for catching bigger fish! I always have a Texas Rig Jig tied on. I've fished them weightless, and have caught fish that way. But I personally like to use it with either a 4/0 or 5/0 Trokar hook and usually a 3/8oz bullet weight, which seems to give me the best fall rate. Get you some!!

Just got the 3.5" in green pumpkin. The bait looks great on a jig rig or texas rig with a 1/4oz to 1/2oz tungsten weight and a 3 to 4/0 hook. I'm looking foward to fish this bait in heavy cover and brush piles. Thanks PTL for coming out with this craw! Tight lines everybody.
